BIBLE STUDY INTRODUCTION

JESUS had declared that the Scriptures (the Old Testament) discourse only about Him (John 5:39). That is an usual declaration from Jesus who always bring attention to His Father. In other words, if the Scriptures concerned God the Father, Jesus would have stated that. All we have to do with the declaration of Jesus is to determine who is the main Character in the Scriptures (Old Testament) to find out who He is.

John 5:39-40 KJ3
(39) You search the Scriptures, for you think in them you have everlasting life. And they are the ones witnessing concerning Me. (40) And you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.

Deuteronomy 6:4 LITV
(4) Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.

Mark 12:29 LITV
(29) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is: "Hear, Israel. The Lord our God is one Lord,

Luke 2:10-11 EMTV
(10) Then the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
(11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

It was not Jesus who was born. It was the LORD (aka Jehovah) who was born to go under the name Jesus among man (verse 11).
The existence of God the Father of Jesus was never known to anyone before the advent of Jesus according to John 17:6

John 17:6 LITV
(6)  I revealed Your name to the men whom You gave to Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have kept Your Word.

Hence, the following equivalence:
JEHOVAH = THE LORD = (CHRIST) THE LORD

Luke 2:10-11 EMTV
(10) Then the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.
(11) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

Hebrews 1:4-14 LITV
(4) having become so much better than the angels, He has inherited a name more excellent than they.
(5) For to which of the angels did He ever say, "You are My Son; today I have begotten You"? And again, "I will be a Father to Him, and He shall be a Son to Me." Psalm 2:7
(6) And again, when He brought the First-born into the world, He said, "And let all the angels of God worship Him." MT-No Equiv
(7) And as to the angels, He said, "Who makes His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;" LXX-Psa. 103:4; MT-Psa. 104:4
(8) but as to the Son, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom;
(9) You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; because of this God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness beside Your fellows." Psa. 45:6, 7
(10) And, "You, Lord, at the beginning founded the earth, and the heavens are works of Your hands.
(11) They will vanish away, but You will continue; and they will all become old, like a garment,
(12) and You shall fold them up like a covering, and they shall be changed. But You are the same, and Your years shall not fail." LXX-Psa. 101:26-28; MT-Psa. 102:25-27
(13) But to which of the angels did He ever say, "Sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as a footstool of Your feet?" LXX-Psa. 109:1; MT-Psa. 110:1
(14) Are they not all ministering spirits for service, being sent out because of the ones being about to inherit salvation?

Jesus is better than the Angels. He is presented in the Old Testament as God. There is one God in Heaven: Jehovah per Deuteronomy 6:4

Deuteronomy 6:4 LITV
(4) Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.
John argued the case and makes the contrast between Jesus and the Angels in Hebrews 1. All Heaven, that is, all the Angels, except God the Father, worshipped Jesus (verse 6).

God does not consider man as a nobody. Rather, God values mankind so much that He consented to come die for man because They make man a little less than themselves (Psalms 8:5).

Psalms 8:3-9 KJ3
(3) When I look upon Your heavens, the work of Your fingers: the moon and the stars which You have fixed;
(4) what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man, that You care for him?
(5) For You have made him lack a little from God; and have crowned him with glory and honor.

(6) You made him rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all under his feet:
(7) all flocks and oxen, and also the animals of the field,
(8) the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, all that pass through the sea.
(9) O Jehovah, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!

John 10:34-35 KJ3
34 Jesus answered them, Has it not been written in your Law, “I said, you are gods”? Psa. 82:6
35 If He said those to be gods to whom the Word of God was, and the Scripture cannot be broken,

In the Scriptures, in Genesis, we find the Spirit mentioned as 'Spirit of God' or 'Spirit of Elohim'. It is said that the singular English word God is actually the plural Gods (Elohim) in Hebrew. The title 'Spirit of God' does not bring to mind a different heavenly Being in the like of Jehovah and God the Father, of whose image we were fashioned.  The Spirit belongs to both God the Father and Jesus. From His account in the Scriptures, the Spirit is so fluid that He can be chopped into pieces or portions, for lack of a better term, to be given to man to empower them to become an all powerful superman. We can say that Jesus likens the Holy Spirit to the fluidity of the wind in John 3:5-8.

John 3:5-8 EMTV
(5) Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless someone is born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
(6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
(7) Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
(8) "The wind blows where it wills, and you hear its sound, but you do not know from where it comes and where it goes. So is everyone who has been born of the Spirit."

Romans 10:5-21 ESV
(5)  For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.
(6)  But the righteousness based on faith says, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down)
(7)  “or ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
(8)  But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
(9)  because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord [YHWH] and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
(10)  For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
(11)  For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”
(12)  For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord [YHWH] is Lord ]YHWH] of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.
(13)  For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
(14)  How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
(15)  And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
(16)  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?”
(17)  So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
(18)  But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for “Their voice has gone out to all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.”
(19)  But I ask, did Israel not understand? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous of those who are not a nation; with a foolish nation I will make you angry.”
(20)  Then Isaiah is so bold as to say, “I have been found by those who did not seek me; I have shown myself to those who did not ask for me.”
(21)  But of Israel he says, “All day long I have held out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”

Hosea 4:6 LITV

(6) My people are cut off for lack of knowledge. Because you rejected the knowledge, I also rejected you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will forget your sons, even I.

Jesus insulted the Samaritan woman but she she did not care because she was kindled by a kind of faith that pleases Jesus.

Matthew 15:21-28 ASV
(21)  And Jesus went out thence, and withdrew into the parts of Tyre and Sidon.
(22)  And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.
(23)  But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
(24)  But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
(25)  But she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
(26)  And he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.
(27)  But she said, Yea, Lord: for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
(28)  Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.
